GreenHomeNYC is registered for learning credit with AIA/CES. For the September 2010 forum, The Greening of Newark, NJ, we are providing 1.5 HSW and SD credits. You must pay $15 in advance to receive credit.
Credit is only given if you purchase beforehand from this webpage, via PayPal. We cannot offer credit at the door.

Learning Objectives for Sept. 2010 – The Greening of Newark, NJ
- The participant will be able to summarize the possible environmental problems that plague a highly industrialized urban area and how community stakeholders can work collectively to implement sustainable measures to mitigate pollution.
- The participant will be able to enumerate the sustainable benefits green fields and gardens play on the urban landscape and our environment.
- The participant will be able to discuss the role housing developers and financing agencies play in ensuring that sustainable design is integrated into affordable housing projects.
- The participant will be able to describe the design and engineering concepts used to restore the core and shell of an existing century old factory into a sustainable educational facility.
