Join GreenHomeNYC this May and learn about impactful careers & organizations in Green Education from professionals in the field. If you’re a new graduate, transitioning into a new career, or just passionate about sustainability, climate, or the environment, this event is for you.

Come learn from seasoned professionals about the ins and outs of their career journeys in green education, get your questions answered about the field, and get a chance to network!

In Cho, Passive House for Everyone (PHFE)
In Cho, a leader in sustainable architecture and education, is the co-founder of ChoShields Studio architecture firm and Passive House for Everyone (PHFE)—an educational non-profit that empowers youth for climate action through creative arts and hands-on exploration of Passive House building science. Alongside her professional practice, In Cho trains industry professionals, educates K–12 and post-secondary students in Passive House principles through PHFE, and leads the development of K–12 curricula for broader adoption. Through her transformative pedagogy, Cho blends creative arts and hands-on learning to inspire the next generation to embrace the core principles of sustainable architecture.

Jennifer Bombardier, Lower East Side Ecology Center

Jennifer is the education manager for the Ecology Center. She develops the organization’s environmental education programs and community education partnerships, and through her work she brought to life the Food Justice Program. She holds an MA in environmental conservation education from New York University She is dedicated to connecting youth with their local environment and instilling stewardship values that last a lifetime. When she isn’t working, she can usually be found biking around Brooklyn, camping, or experimenting in her kitchen.

Jillian Panagakos, CUNY Building Performance Lab
Jillian Panagakos is an instructor through the CUNY Building Performance Lab’s Energy and Carbon Management Training program, where she teaches an introductory course on building science and energy engineering. Her teaching focuses on making technical concepts accessible to students entering the field of building energy. Having worked as an energy engineer prior, she brings real-world experience to the classroom. Outside of teaching, Jillian works as a product manager for CUNY BPL, developing data analysis tools that support municipal climate initiatives. She’s passionate about using her skills in energy and technology to train and support the next generation of energy professionals.
