Join us as an eminently qualified panel discusses the critical role of buildings outlined in NYC’s comprehensive report on decreasing our carbon footprint 80% by 2050. One of the primary authors, Sergej Mahnofvski, formerly of NYC OLTPS, will lead the event with a presentation of the detailed findings of the study, followed by an in-depth discussion with Anish Melwani, Director at McKinsey & Co., and Jeff Perlman, Founder of Bright Power. The report includes specific recommendations for the most effective energy conservation measures in the building sector and outlines the continued need for education and technical assistance within the design, construction and real estate communities.   As noted by the authors, accelerating action in the near term is critical to meeting an aggressive goal like 80 X 50. Join us as we map out the path to achieving this important milestone. The moderator will be Clara Bonham-Carter of AECOM.
