Hurricane Sandy exposed the need to protect the multifamily affordable housing stock from the effects of climate change. Over 62,000 public and affordable housing units were within the storm surge area across the tri-state region, representing about 13% of the total public and affordable units. The series is part of Enterprise’s ongoing efforts to support Hurricane Sandy recovery and rebuilding and strengthening the resilience of affordable housing for the most vulnerable residents.
