Superstorm Sandy disabled electrical systems throughout the region–in turn impacting mechanical and plumbing systems as well. The next installment of Enterprise’s Speaker Series provides an in-depth look at how Bailey House on Manhattan’s West Side coped with these problems.   Bailey House provides housing and support services to people living with HIV/AIDS. Superstorm Sandy inundated their basement, and all the pumps, mechanical systems and electrical systems were destroyed. Forty residents had to be relocated. The building then faced the urgent task of restoring full MEP and elevator services. Consultant Vincent Salvatoriello oversaw the repair and relocation of Bailey House’s electrical switchgear from the basement to the first floor. He will describe the entire process in detail. A principal of Strategix Consulting, Mr. Salvatoriello is a seasoned design and construction professional with extensive experience in New York City.   Mr. Salvatoriello will be joined by seasoned utility professionals to accompany his discussion.
