From Fire to LED: Lessons in Lighting

August 20, 2013 7:00 - 9:00 PM Ever wondered what makes those weird new lights cooler and better than the old ones? Well, come to our discussion and hands-on demonstration of various lighting options from Incandescent, Compact fluorescent and LEDs. Robert Nadel from Energy Lighting Systems, Ltd and James Eck from Phillips Lighting Company will detail the ins and outs of lighting and be on hand to answer all your questions, such as when and where to use certain types of light, what could be harmful lighting, etc. Robert Nadel has worked in the lighting industry for more than 30 years, focusing on energy conservation. He is Vice President of Energy and Lighting Systems, Ltd, a design / build company for both indoor and outdoor lighting. Major projects include work at the New York Stock Exchange, Salvation Army buildings throughout the Tri-state regions , commercial and residential facilities. James Eck works as a Key Account Manager for Philips Lighting Company in the Northeast region. He has worked for Philips for 6 years and prior to that James worked in the lighting industry for over 15 years. A great deal of time is spent working with and educating end user customers on new products and the latest trends in the lighting industry. In his role as a Key Account Manager James works with national distributors focusing heavily on retail, hospitality and commercial segments.
