Kay Künzel: Ecological Multi-story Passive House Buildings

Kay Künzel is a German architect known for ecological and sustainable Passive House buildings. He founded his firm “raum für architektur” in 2000 and has since that realized over 200 highly energy efficient buildings. Kay will give an overview of Passive House and the different possibilities of energy efficiency strategies, featuring the presentation of multi-story-buildings in wooden construction. One project presented will be a 6 story wooden Passive House student-apartment in Bonn, Germany – completely ecological – and a “smart-home”. Attendees can expect an energetic presentation by an architect who is passionate about sustainable and energy efficient building – from the basics of Passive House to the cutting edge of ecological construction.   This event is organized by New York Passive House.
