For this answer I went to the
GreenHomeGuide, which has a great directory of furniture vendors that all comply to some standard to sustainable production. Below is a link to a quick one-page article with information on what eco-friendly means in relation to furniture. Then two vendors in the northeast that had carry upholstered lines.
