Did you know that it takes only 30 seconds to make a first impression? And as many as 21 tries to undo a negative one? By the time you’ve walked into a room and shaken hands, chances are you’ve already reached that critical first impression deadline–and you’ve barely uttered a word yet!
We are always sending non-verbal messages, whether we know it or not. In this workshop you’ll learn to manage your nonverbal communication, so you are delivering your intended message, building rapport, and conveying power and confidence. We’ll explore gestures, posture, movement, eye contact, voice, and even the non-verbal aspects of words.
Your facilitator,
Pam Berns, has coached groups and individuals in effective communication in global corporations, government, non-profits, and international business schools. Her focus is on helping technical, quantitative, and scientific professionals develop leadership presence and persuasive messages. She also serves on GreenHomeNYC’s Communications Committee.
